Nell’aprile 2001 nasceva ufficialmente il nostro Club, grazie alla passione di un manipolo di pochi appassionati mossi dalla voglia di far conoscere una delle icone del sogno americano: la Corvette appunto.
L’idea venne dopo lo svolgimento del primo raduno a Sanremo l’anno precedente, si sentì la necessità di dare un aspetto formale a quello che era un ritrovarsi accordandosi telefonicamente.
Da allora e grazie alla Corvette di strada ne abbiamo fatta tanta, il Club oltre che della forma legale con Presidente, Vice Presidente, Segretario ecc, si dotava di un sito internet , allo scopo di poter promuovere in maniera più capillare la diffusione del marchio, raccogliendo grazie alla rete altri appassionati.
E’ proprio grazie alla rete che il nostro Club è ora conosciutissimo non solo in Italia ma nel mondo intero.
Si sono stretti gemellaggi con altri Club Corvette, che hanno portato all’organizzazione di Raduni sia a livello nazionale che internazionale, Raduni con un’affluenza assolutamente eccezionale considerando la realtà europea.
Siamo in Italia l’unico Club monomarca Corvette, il nostro database conta circa 800 iscritti proprietari di ogni modello Corvette prodotto da General Motors, dalla C1 alla C6 ZR-1 comprese le edizioni speciali degli anniversari e non.
Insomma, all’interno del nostro Club è un po’ come stare in un museo, si può ripercorrere la storia di questa icona dalla sua nascita nel 1953 fino ai giorni nostri.
Un doveroso ringraziamento alla Corvette stessa, l’unica auto per noi appassionati in grado di suscitare emozioni talmente forti da essere considerata una compagna di vita, un’amica che oltre a far vibrare col poderoso rombo del suo V8 la nostra anima, è un mezzo capace di amalgamare, contagiandole, persone diversissime tra di loro, ma identiche nel vivere la passione per quella che non è soltanto un auto, ma uno stile di vita

CORVETTE ITALIA

Thursday. For guests arriving on Thursday, we’ll be organizing a diner at our club-house, an Italian restaurant not far away from Luxembourg.

Friday : Official opening of the meeting. Our reception desk at the « Alvisse Park Hotel » (120 rte d’Echternach, L-1453 Dommeldange-Luxembourg) will be open from 9.00 AM on. The best way to get to the hotel is to take the motorway A1 when you arrive near the city of Luxembourg. Follow the direction of TRIER. Enter the motorway A7 when you see the sign ECHTERNACH. At the end of this motorway, turn left and follow the signs CORVETTE into the city of LUXEMBOURG. The hotel is at a distance of 2,6 km from this crossing.
At our reception desk, each guest will receive all the documents for the 3 days. For Friday, we have organized a short sightseeing rally through Luxembourg. Signs will lead you through the whole track that is about 100 km long. The rally has to done by you own and the latest departure time for this tour is 4.00 PM. There are lots of prices to win, so it’s well worth participating!

Saturday. Departure time for the tour is 10 AM. We will leave Luxembourg in groups, and probably like last year the police will escort us, giving our Corvette convoy the priority on all major crossings. We will head to the city of Vianden, one of the oldest towns in Luxembourg www.vianden.lu
Here we will stay for dinner time and will leave later in the afternoon. In Vianden, we will visit the Castle of Vianden in groups, one of the most beautiful castles in Europe. After the castle, a bus is going to bring us to the “Our Dam” an the nearby underground SEO electricity plant, the 3rd biggest in Europe.

Sunday : We will start at 9.30 AM from the hotel to visit the underground fortress of Luxembourg city. In total, there are about 29 kilometers of galleries under the city. We thought that maybe this a bit too much walking for a Sunday morning, so we’re going to visit only the most interesting and accessible part of the galleries.
While we’re visiting the galleries and the city, the cars stay a parking place in Luxembourg. After the visit, there is a possibility to have a last goodbye lunch near that parking place.

The package which we offer to you includes a 2-day hotel accommodation with continental breakfast, two dinners including all drinks and cold and hot buffet, a rock ‘n’ roll live band during dinnertime, the entrance tickets to the Castle of Vianden and the fortress of Luxembourg and the bus tickets in Vianden.
You will see, this new location where we’ll meet again in 2011 is just the proper place for two unforgettable evenings.

CORVETTE OWNERS LUXWMBOURG

I tecnici della Luxury Car hanno recentemente terminato lo sviluppo di una Chevrolet Corvette che, dati alla mano, si preannuncia davvero spaventosa. Con l’adozione di un compressore a lobi Eaton, kit aspirazione diretta e lo scarico completo Supersprint, il V8 6 litri ha raggiunto una potenza massima di 560 CV, con una curva di erogazione letteralmente brutale, ottenuta anche grazie a una perfetta messa a punto della centralina elettronica. Altri interventi hanno riguardato l’assetto, col montaggio di un kit dello specialista Callaway, l’adozione di un impianto frenante maggiorato e leveraggio cambio a corsa ridotta. E’ stato poi indispensabile montare una frizione rinforzata, in grado di imbrigliare tutta quella potenza.

La CHD Tuning di Loris Fregonese ha poi provveduto a realizzare un kit aerodinamico specifico per questa Corvette.
